What AAU Basketball Really Costs a Minnesota Family

An honest breakdown of AAU basketball costs in Minnesota — dues, travel, gear and fundraising — so families can plan a season with no surprises.

Club basketball costs money, and families deserve the full number before they commit rather than in pieces across a season.

Program dues

Moore H.Y.P.E. dues are $900 on the Development side and $1,300 on the Elite side. Dues cover coaching, practice gym time and tournament entry for the team's scheduled events.

Travel

Hotel, gas and food for out-of-town weekends are separate and are the most variable cost of a season. Local Minnesota weekends cost a tank of gas and lunch; a multi-day circuit event with a hotel is a different conversation. Ask your coach early which events involve travel.

Gear

Team apparel is optional beyond the required uniform. Our team store keeps prices flat so families are not surprised: $40 shirts, $60 and $80 hoodies, $20 socks.

Fundraising

No family should carry a season alone. We run program fundraising and sponsor support, and fundraising credit can be applied to dues. If cost is the only thing standing between an athlete and this program, contact us before you decide.
